Hello dear Readers, long time no see! 2023 is well on its way and the world seems to be no less fraught than the previous year, but for me, it’s starting out in a much more positive way. On a personal note, I’m happy to say my husband has had the all-clear on his health, and our two new grandbabies are thriving, bringing the total to the magical number of three.
I’m back in the writing saddle again and getting immersed in two, possibly three, new stories. One is the third story in the Spirit Level Series and to celebrate my return to the keyboard I’m offering the first book, The Rose Trail, for #FREE this weekend – and only this weekend! So grab a copy and tell your friends there’s a gift ready and waiting for them! Here’s the link to take you straight there to the purchase page on Amazon.
Whilst waiting for my creative juices to flow again, I took the opportunity to record another audiobook – Peace Lily, Book Two of the Katherine Wheel Series, (there are six altogether) which gave me the discipline and mindset I needed to get back into writing mode. Katy doesn’t want to go back to being a domestic servant after her time serving as a mechanic in World War One and Cassandra gives her the ticket for travel she longs for. Things don’t go as planned in Peace Lily – do they ever for Katy?
YOU CAN HEAR THE FREE SAMPLE OF PEACE LILY AS AN AUDIOBOOK AT THE TOP OF THIS PAGE!
Click on the link above and you can access the #free audio sample straight from the Amazon page and check it out. If you are a member of Audible.com you can download the whole audiobook as part of your membership quota. It is also available on Amazon and iTunes. Book One, Daffodils, is already available on these channels. I had great fun doing all the accents (I grew up in Wiltshire so that was easy) but the Bostonian one was particularly challenging! Sometimes it’s really relaxing to work away at something – daily chores, some craftwork, or whilst exercising – walking, running cycling – whatever floats your boat, and let someone else read to you while you get on with the important things in your life.
I’m offering five #FREE audiobooks -either Daffodils or Peace Lily (your choice) – WORTH BETWEEN £16 AND £20! All you have to do is answer the following five questions and send your answers to my email address at email@example.com. The first five correct answers will receive their PROMOTION CODE for the free audiobooks. Each one gives around TEN HOURS of listening time! Please tell all your friends about this offer!
Question 1: What was Katy’s first job?
Question 2: What English county is Cheadle Manor in?
Question 3: How many books are in the Katherine Wheel Series?
Question 4: Which ones are also available as audiobooks as well as ebooks and paperbacks?
Question 5: Has Alex Martin written another series? If so, what is it called?
The answers must be sent before the offer ends on the first day of Spring, 21st March 2023. Only one free audiobook per person.
I wish you a very belated but happy new year and hope you enjoy these gifts. I look forward to hearing from you.
Remember: the address to send your answers is firstname.lastname@example.org
